Would you like to become a member?

By accepting the terms of membership you become a part of a dynamic community of international researchers who exchange ideas on a regular basis. The constant exchange rests upon the upload of archival material, your own papers, topic-related essays etc. into our own database; the use of the database, as well as the networking of colleagues interested in the same academic fields.

Legality, Rights & Access:

The data “preserved” on www.2ndpublic.org is only available and accessible for fair scholarly use. The operators of the website encourage the users of the database to specify the sources/rights of the material being uploaded and to apply the practice of academic citation when using the contents of the www.2ndpublic.org-database. The operators and initiators of the website do not bear any responsibility for the contents uploaded by any member. Each member who fills out the registration form accepts the terms of use and receives an individual username and password (via email) to access the database.

The project initiators have created various categories (genre, country and keyword(s) included) and keywords for the uploaded material to simplify the process of storing and searching for data in the database of www.2ndpublic.org. The categories (e.g. performance, action art, event, video installation, film, embodiment, gender, etc.) will constantly be extended and specified. Selecting a given category is one of the steps in the uploading process..
